This is a rare opportunity to join a Tokyo-based AI × Data startup as their first QA Engineer.

You’ll be building the QA function from scratch.

That means defining how quality works across the company, setting standards, and shaping the way products are developed as the business scales.

The company develops SaaS products powered by large-scale open data and machine learning, with a mission to maximize value through AI and data.

 

What you will do

In this role, you’ll take ownership of quality across the entire product lifecycle:

  • Design and implement test strategies for web-based SaaS products

  • Build and improve test automation (unit, integration, and E2E)

  • Work closely with engineers and product teams to embed quality into development

  • Identify risks early and ensure scalable, reliable systems

  • Help establish QA processes, frameworks, and best practices from the ground up

As the first QA hire, you’ll also have a strong voice in tooling, architecture, and team direction.
