Basic Policy

At Build Plus K.K. (hereafter “Build+”), we prioritize building trust with both our candidates and client companies to provide high-quality recruitment services. To ensure a safe, healthy, and respectful working environment for our employees, we have established this Policy on Customer Harassment (hereafter “Policy”) based on guidelines from Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare and relevant legislation.

Build+ remains fully committed to receiving and sincerely addressing legitimate opinions, constructive feedback, and reasonable requests regarding our services. This Policy is intended solely to protect employees from unacceptable abuse, not to restrict fair and respectful business communication.

This Policy applies to all job candidates, client companies, prospective clients, and any individuals or entities interacting with Build+.

Definition of Customer Harassment

Customer harassment refers to demands, complaints, or conduct from candidates or clients that lack social legitimacy, or where the methods used exceed socially acceptable limits, thereby damaging the working environment for Build+ employees.

Examples of Behavior That May Constitute Customer Harassment

  • Verbal Abuse & Intimidation: Threats, shouting, insults, abusive language, slander, or personal attacks directed at Build+ employees.

  • Physical Attacks: Assault, property damage, and other violent behavior including unauthorized access to the Build+ office and restrictive conduct, such as loitering or refusing to leave.

  • Unreasonable Demands: Demands for forced apologies (dogeza), requests to falsify data, pressure to violate compliance or participate in unlawful acts, demands for monetary compensation, claims exceeding contractual obligations, or where the demand is unrelated to the services we provide.

  • Excessive/Restrictive Behavior: Continuous barrage of messages or phone calls, refusing to conclude meetings or allow Build+ employees to leave, repetitive complaints, or unreasonable actions that disrupt business operations.

  • Sexual Harassment: Sexual remarks or behavior, obscene language, voyeurism, stalking, or similar behavior.

  • Privacy Infringement & Acts Intending Reputational Damage: Posting unauthorized recordings on the internet for the purpose of defamation or libel, posting Build+ employees’ names, photos, or personal details on social media or online review boards.

Note: The definitions and examples of prohibited behaviors in this Policy are formulated in accordance with the "Customer Harassment Countermeasure Corporate Manual" issued by Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW). The examples provided are illustrative and not exhaustive.

Response to Customer Harassment

If customer harassment occurs, Build+ will request that the behavior cease. If the behavior continues, Build+ reserves the right to terminate candidate support services or suspend/cancel business contracts with client companies.

In severe or malicious cases (assault, intimidation, property damage, extortion), Build+ will immediately report the incident to law enforcement and pursue legal remedies through legal counsel.

Employee Protection

Build+ maintains internal reporting mechanisms so employees never handle harassment alone. Build+ provides immediate organizational support, mental health assistance, and safety measures for affected personnel.
