Build+ Partners with Go Global Hub 2026: Join the First Cross-Border Co-Creation Event in Tokyo
We’re excited to announce that Build+ is joining Go Global Hub 2026 as a partner, supporting a new series designed to bring Japan’s business and startup community together with people, ideas, and opportunities from around the world.
Organized by STARTUP LADY and supported by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, Go Global Hub is moving beyond traditional networking. Rather than simply bringing international and Japanese professionals into the same room, the series is built around cross-border co-creation: working together on real challenges and developing ideas that could lead to new businesses, partnerships, and international collaboration.
The first event takes place on Wednesday, September 30, and you’re invited to join us.
From connection to co-creation
For anyone working in Japan’s international business or startup ecosystem, there are plenty of opportunities to meet new people.
But meeting someone and actually building something together are very different things.
That is the idea behind Go Global Hub.
The 2026 program is structured as a four-part journey, beginning with identifying global challenges before moving into building ideas, testing them in international markets, and ultimately creating concrete partnerships.
The four sessions are:
#1 Discover Global Challenges
Cross-border teams explore real social and market challenges and begin developing solutions together.
#2 Build Together
Participants move from discussing challenges to creating business ideas with international partners.
#3 Market Validation
Ideas are tested to see whether they could work in overseas markets.
#4 Global Partnership Day
The focus shifts toward turning ideas into business discussions, PoCs, and international collaborations.
For us at Build+, that practical approach to connecting Japan with the global community is what makes the initiative particularly interesting.
The first event: Discover Global Challenges
The first session, Go Global Hub 2026 #1 | Discover Global Challenges, will bring together founders, companies, investors, government organizations, embassies, and other members of the international business community.
Instead of spending the evening only listening to presentations or exchanging business cards, participants will form mixed teams across nationalities and organizations.
Each group will work on real social or market challenges and develop potential solutions and business ideas together through a hands-on Cross-border Co-Creation Session.
The event will be held primarily in English, with Japanese support available, making it accessible to both international and Japanese participants. Attendance is free, with a limited capacity of approximately 70–100 people.
Keynote: Alex Odajima
The evening will also feature a keynote from Alex Odajima, Japan Representative at Start2 Group K.K.
Alex specializes in business incubation and has supported numerous startup launches and corporate new-business initiatives. His work has increasingly focused on connecting Japan’s innovation ecosystem with international startup communities, including collaboration with embassies, global startup support organizations, and accelerator programs.
His experience makes him a particularly fitting speaker for an event focused on what happens when ideas, markets, and people cross borders.
Who should join?
