Go Global Hub 2026: Build Together on October 26th

Following the first Go Global Hub 2026 event in September, Build+ is continuing our partnership with the series for its second session: Build Together — Cross-border Co-Creation Workshop.

Taking place in Shibuya on Monday, October 26, the second event shifts the focus from discovering global challenges to actually building business ideas together. GoGlobalHub2026_2_Partner_SNS_G…

Organized by STARTUP LADY ORG and supported by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, Go Global Hub brings together people from Japan and overseas to turn cross-border connections into practical collaboration.

From discovering challenges to building solutions

The first event in the series, Discover Global Challenges, focused on opening the door to co-creation by bringing people together around social and market challenges.

For session #2, the emphasis moves forward.

Build Together is designed as a hands-on workshop where international and Japanese founders, companies, investors, and other participants work in mixed teams to turn challenges and themes into concrete business ideas.

Rather than spending the evening simply listening to speakers or networking, you will work with your team using frameworks such as the Business Model Canvas and Lean Canvas to develop an idea.

By the end of the evening, each team will present what they have created in a three-minute mini pitch.

You don't need to arrive with an idea

One of the most important parts of this session is that you don't need to have a fully formed business concept before you join.

If you already have an idea, you can use the workshop to challenge and refine it through perspectives from people with different markets, industries, and backgrounds.

If you don't have an idea yet, you can start from a theme and build something new together with your team.

That makes the session relevant both for people already developing a new business and for anyone who simply wants to experience what cross-border co-creation looks like in practice.

Keynote: Yerkezhan Zholdassova

The evening will also feature a keynote from Yerkezhan Zholdassova, Founder & CEO of Hired Valley in Silicon Valley.

The event materials describe Yerkezhan as a Forbes-featured female founder who studied at Stanford, bringing a Silicon Valley perspective to the evening before participants move into the workshop itself.

For anyone interested in entrepreneurship, international growth, or building businesses across markets, this adds another global perspective to an already highly international session.

What will you actually do?

This is very much a workshop rather than a conference.

Participants will form mixed teams, take a business challenge or theme, and work through it using structured business-building frameworks.

The goal is to move from a broad challenge to something tangible enough to present that same evening.

You can expect to:

  • Work with people from different countries, companies, and professional backgrounds

  • Explore a business challenge or theme as a team

  • Develop the concept using tools such as the Business Model Canvas

  • Challenge your assumptions through cross-border perspectives

  • Turn the discussion into a more concrete business idea

  • Finish with a three-minute team pitch

The focus is not on creating a perfect startup in three hours. It is about experiencing how quickly an idea can develop when you bring together people with very different perspectives.

Who should join?

You should consider joining if you are interested in entrepreneurship, new business development, international expansion, working with global teams, or simply learning how ideas can be developed through cross-border collaboration.

The format is particularly useful if you already have a business idea you want to test from different perspectives, but it is equally suitable if you want to start from scratch and experience building something with an international team.

The next step in the Go Global Hub journey

Go Global Hub 2026 is designed as a four-part progression.

After Discover Global Challenges and Build Together, the next session will be Market Validation, where the focus moves to testing whether ideas can succeed in overseas markets.

The final session, Global Partnership Day, will then look at turning those ideas into business discussions, PoCs, and international partnerships.

For us at Build+, that progression is what makes the series especially interesting.

It doesn't stop at meeting people from different countries. It gives you a structure for moving from connection → idea → validation → partnership.

We're looking forward to joining the second session as a partner and seeing what the teams build together.

See you in Shibuya on October 26.
