Meet the new Internal IT Team at Build+

Internal IT has never been more important.

As companies across Japan accelerate cloud migration, strengthen cybersecurity, and modernize aging systems, the demand for strong infrastructure and IT specialists is exploding.

To meet this need, we’re proud to announce the launch of our dedicated Internal IT Recruitment Team at Build+.

Why we created this team

For years, our clients have consistently asked for help hiring internal IT talent.
Demand has always been high, especially for roles in:

  • Infrastructure

  • Cloud

  • Security

  • Data systems

  • DevOps

  • Automation

We’ve been supporting these roles quietly and “on the side,” but without a dedicated function. But as digital transformation accelerates in Japan, the opportunities have become too big to ignore.

More companies, both tech and non-tech, are optimizing their systems, automating operations, and strengthening security. Startups we’ve supported from day one are scaling fast, and as they grow, their demand for internal IT roles grows with them. We grow with our clients, and the time was right to finally commit to building a specialized division.

This has been in the works for 2–3 years, and now that Build+ is growing and expanding its core teams, launching our Internal IT Team made perfect sense.

Why now?

Japan is undergoing a major technological shift.

Companies are migrating to AWS, GCP, and Azure. They’re moving away from legacy on-premise systems, tightening their security posture, and modernizing their network, data, and infrastructure layers.

At the same time, the country faces deep structural challenges:

  • A shrinking workforce

  • A limited pool of infrastructure and cloud specialists

  • Increasing cybersecurity requirements

  • Rising operational complexity

This creates enormous hiring needs across internal IT functions, especially for companies building the foundations for long-term digital growth.

What’s unique about Japan’s Internal IT landscape?

Japan’s environment is shaped by:

Heavy technical debt

Many companies run large on-premise systems that require experienced engineers to maintain, transition, or integrate with cloud environments.

Rapid cloud modernization

Cloud platforms are becoming standard, but companies still need engineers who can bridge old and new architectures.

Security as a national priority

Cyber incidents are increasing, and companies now prioritize SOC/CSIRT capabilities, governance, zero trust, and compliance.

Automation & DX across every industry

Not just tech companies, but retail, logistics, finance, manufacturing, healthcare, and even traditional enterprises are automating and digitizing operations.

Growing startups

As startups scale, internal IT becomes essential: identity management, SSO, cloud governance, networking, security, and reliable systems to support hundreds of employees.

The result?

Demand is higher than ever, and companies need recruitment partners who truly understand the full internal IT stack.

What roles do we cover?

Our new team covers 100% of internal engineering requirements for our clients, including:

  • CIO / CSO

  • Internal IT Manager / IT Engineer

  • Database Administrator (DBA)

  • Cloud Engineer

  • DevOps / SRE / Infrastructure Engineer

  • Bridge Engineer

  • Network & On-Premise Infrastructure Engineer

  • Security Engineer (SOC / CSIRT / IAM / Governance)

We also support emerging needs in automation, system optimization, and enterprise architecture.
