Wahl+Case is rebranding as Build+

Naming a company is hard.

For recruitment companies, using your personal name is basically banking on your reputation in the market. When enough people know who you are and respect the work you do, using your own name brings an immediate sense of brand recognition to your new company. Legal firms and other professional service providers are similar. You don’t have to look hard to find examples.

Building a brand is harder.

Your initial name recognition will only get you so far. As the company grows, maintaining those initial service levels provided by the founders gets more and more challenging. The people you hire and entrust to carry on that name determine the success or failure of the venture.

As the brand evolves it no longer represents the founders themselves, but their vision.

Since Wahl+Case was acquired by SHIFT in May 2023, we have been planning to update our name and logo to align our brand identity with our new direction.

At Wahl+Case our vision has always been linked closely to our One Rule - “Always do what is in the best interest of your customers. Always.” This served as a first principle on which everything else was based. The business may have changed but the One Rule continues to guide us.

The new name and brand needed to represent our future and our past. Our values and our vision. The goals and ambitions we share with our customers.

Build+ Logo

We chose the name Build+ to reflect our commitment to building the careers of our  candidates and our clients’ businesses. The "+" symbol carries over from Wahl+Case, providing a connection to our legacy, while also signifying our value-added approach to recruitment, innovation, and collaboration.

We believe in building meaningful things.

We understand the sometimes cynical, transactional nature of recruitment and believe we can do better. We focus on long-term, mutually beneficial relationships based on trust. We stick to our values, even when it is hard.

Build+ represents a new brand and a new era, but the fundamental ideas that got us here haven’t changed. We will keep our attention squarely focused on these fundamentals as they are a core part of our identity and define our culture.

Over the past 15 years, we haven’t just grown a business - we’ve empowered people with life-changing opportunities. Now it’s time for us to build an even better future for ourselves and for you, our customers.
